MRI machines installed at various hospitals are rated in Tesla. The

times. Two other compelling advantages of 1.5T MRI are higher contrast
and better visualization of microstructures.
One of the more interesting advantages of 1.5T MRI is reduced
acquisition time, which not only reduces artefacts, but also results in
faster scans and increased patient throughput. The best facilities

64-Slice CT Scanner
The initial CT Scan machines were Axial machines. Then came spiral
CT scan starting from Single slice, moved to Dual, 4,6,8,12,16,32 and
now the best in the industry is a 64 Slice CT scan. The introduction of
64 slice cardiac CT allows scanning with a very high resolution. Scan
times are now reduced to a few seconds only (usually 5-8 seconds). This
means that even patients with severe pulmonary disease and congestive
heart failure can hold their breath for the required length of time and
be successfully scanned.
For the first time, because of high speed, a beating heart can be
scanned, early abnormalities in the blood vessels supplying the heart
can be detected and heart attacks can be prevented by timely diagnosis
Reduced time translates into minimal or no motion artefacts.
Furthermore, higher number of slices means higher resolution. Today's
64 slice scanners are capable of performing 64 slices per rotation at

After
having feasibility study of the healthcare market done by Med
contrivers, Dharmindra Nagar, Managing Director, Paras Hospitals looked
for land in Ghaziabad, Noida and Gurgaon. After the thorough study, a
land was acquired in Gurgaon and the work of the hospital commenced in
the beginning of 2005. In the first phase, 130 beds were commissioned in
July 2006. Another 50 beds became operational in October 2007 thus
making it a 250-bed hospital.
